This is Country

New Mexico singer/songwriter Sarah Rowe, is simple, and tough, an all American girl, deeply rooted in the traditional music influences of her childhood. Sarah was born in Albuquerque, NM. Sarah grew up in a small home just West of the Manzano Mountains. The youngest of four siblings, Sarah’s love of music arrived at a very early age. Sarah would pass the time by singing and writing lyrics. Her and her father would find time to bond by playing music for the family. She’s been singing since she could talk.

Sarah’s Influences range in time and genre from Traditional Country, Bluegrass, Folk, Texas country, Americana, and Southern Rock. Some of her favorite artists include Randy Travis, Dolly Parton, Faith Hill, Leeann Womack, Sturgill Simpson, Leann Rimes, Shania Twain, Chris Stapleton, Stoney LaRue, Miranda Lambert, Colter Wall, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many more. In addition to her musical roots, she is very Southwest Influenced as she spent much of her life exploring beautiful New Mexico terrain, as well as traveling to other states for work as a professional photographer.

“I love the West, and Cowboy Culture. it has its own spirit. I enjoy the outdoors, I love to hike, fish, take pictures, ride horses, and just enjoy nature, time with family, and that whole simple existence. Im just an ordinary girl doing ordinary things and singing about it. I am blessed to have seen so much land, culture, diversity, and to have met so many wonderful people along the way. its beautiful and inspiring.

Her sound has also been greatly influenced by a short season of her life spent out on the open plains of west Texas. During this time Sarah traveled all around Texas, attended live shows at honky tonks and pubs that played local and touring Texas country acts. “It is it’s own sound, and it really just stuck close with me. It’s there that she truly fell in love with this new geography and the strong hold of Texas Music. “Texas holds a really special place in my heart.”

Sarah has returned home to New Mexico and is enjoying raising her son while perusing music. “I always knew that I wanted to do it, I just didn’t know when, or how.” She says, “I had my son young, and there wasn’t a whole lot of free time being a single mother. He’s getting older now, and he encourages me to do what makes me happy. “The timing feels right.” This Music is a whole mixture of New Mexico, Texas, and everywhere else along the way.” She calls the highbred “Tumbleweed Country” and “Southwest Country.”

She is currently in the studio working on upcoming releases. “We’ve had tremendous support from friends, family, the community. It takes an army of people to make a dream happen. I’ve got a pretty good one, and I’m thankful. I just want to make music with people that love music as much as I do. I truly feel like we are making a difference, and making an impact with music, & that’s exciting.

Sarah hopes to release a “Roots” EP in 2023. “ I just want to get down to the core of where I come from, where I’ve been and what inspires me, with the songs and sounds off the upcoming releases. There will be stories about love, life, faith, heartbreak, history, and everything in between. I think there will be something for everyone. I’m learning so much. I’m excited for people to to hear it.” She says. I hope that by being true to my authentic self and chasing my dreams, that it will encourage others to do the same. This is my contribution.

Sarah is currently playing/booking shows in The Southwest for 2023/2024
